The new website (www.Research4NC.org) centralizes health promotion and disease prevention programs and resources that UNC researchers developed in collaboration with their public health and community partners. The website currently provides easy access to 31 resources that are ready to use to tackle problems such as obesity, diabetes, cancer, heart disease, tobacco and substance use, injury and violence and environmental risks to health. The website includes descriptions of the available resources together with links to specific studies supporting their successful use and to a variety of easily downloadable materials.
The website was created through a partnership between the Center for Health Promotion Disease Prevention, the Center for Injury Prevention Research, the Highway Safety Research Center, and the Institute on Aging. Funding for the website came from the Office of the Associate Vice Chancellor for Research at UNC-CH.
