QI Learning Center: Utilizing an Impact Matrix

Our QI Project Team has conducted a Gemba walk, a process of observing where the work is happening, and  completed a value stream map to identify areas of waste. We've also taken it a step further by brainstorming improvement ideas that may help eliminate those wastes and posted a “starburst” (a star-shaped post it note with an improvement idea) for each change idea.

Rhode Island Department of Health Makes Great Strides throughout QI Journey

As the Rhode Island Quality Improvement Initiative comes to a close, the   RI Department of Health (DOH) will continue to foster a QI culture. The year-long initiative incorporated a mixture of webinars, workshops, and on-site kaizen events to introduce key QI concepts to home-visiting agencies across Rhode Island.

Improving STD Screening Across the Nation

Improving the health of North Carolinians and those across the nation is the central focus of CPHQ.  In partnership with the California STD/HIV Prevention Training Center, our team recently began work with clinics in New York and California to improve STD screening.  The overall project aim in these two sites is to achieve screening in 80% of health supervision visits for adolescents ages 13-24 by September 2016.
