New Hampshire QI 101 Teams Host Celebration Event to Spread QI

In December, the five New Hampshire QI 101 (NH QI 101) teams held a celebration event to showcase the hard work and successes from their QI projects.  The event also gave the teams the opportunity to share their knowledge of QI tools and methods to over 50 Division of Public Health Services (DPHS) staff.

The celebration event was designed to be fun and informative for all attendees.  Each team created storyboards to portray the steps of their QI project journey, share lessons learned and show their results.  The interactive presentations helped the staff learn about QI and why it is so important.   As part of the celebration’s activities, staff participated in a QI scavenger hunt where they searched for specific QI tools (presented on team storyboards) and learned how the teams used the tools during their improvement process.

Dr. Jose Montero, DPHS Director, also attended to show his support for QI and the NH QI 101 teams.  Dr. Montero awarded certificates to the teams to recognize them for their achievements as well as serving as a foundation for division-wide QI capacity.

Going forward, the teams will continue to test changes and make improvements in their daily work.  They plan on spreading QI to other areas of their agency to carry on the cycle of continuous quality improvement.
