Wave 2 of the Quality Improvement Advisor Program Learn More at Workshop 2

Participants in Wave 2 of the Quality Improvement Advisor (QIA) Program gathered for their 2-day workshop on March 18th and 19th.  The purpose of this workshop was to allow participants to reflect on their experience in the program, celebrate successes, share lessons learned and learn new skills.  Participants gained a deeper understanding of advanced QI tools, how to facilitate a Lean rapid cycle improvement event (Kaizen) and how to use QI tools to continue to spread continuous quality improvement (CQI) throughout their agency.

QIA’s are trained to provide QI training and support within their agencies and assist leaders with creating a CQI culture and infrastructure.  Through teamwork and simulation exercises, the QIA’s were able to get hands-on experience applying QI methods and tools.

“It was a really valuable workshop and the Kaizen simulation rounds were great,” said one QIA participant.  “I enjoyed interacting with other people in the workshop and learning from them.”

Upon completion of the QIA program, participants will enroll in the Life Long Learning Phase of the QIA program described here.
