National Quality Improvement Center for Prevention Training Centers

The California STD/HIV Prevention Training Center (PTC), which is part of the National Network of STD/HIV PTCs, has been designated as the National Quality Improvement (QI) Center for PTCs across the country. The overall goals of the Center are:  to teach QI methods and provide QI resources and assistance to PTCs and their partners, measure the impact of QI training on capacity to provide STD preventive services and screening/treatment outcomes, and to promote a national learning network focusing on QI. The California PTC is partnering with CPHQ to provide QI technical assistance and education to PTCs and their partners. By introducing foundational QI methods and tools and allowing sites to share and learn from each other along the way, CPHQ and the National QI Center plan to infuse continuous quality improvement into the STI/HIV PTCs.
