Laura Noonan, MD, currently serves as Charlotte AHEC's Senior Improvement Advisor. Dr. Noonan completed Medical School at the University of Arizona and was a Resident and the Chief Pediatric Resident at UNC-Chapel Hill. Since 1994 she has been a pediatric faculty member for Carolinas HealthCare System and now with the Levine Children's Hospital in Charlotte. In 2007, she became the Director of the Center for Advancing Pediatric Excellence. This center focuses on resident and other healthcare provider QI education and training; QI project management; QI data management; and QI research.

For the last 12 years, her focus has been on health care Quality Improvement, especially at the practice and ambulatory care levels. She is currently involved in either teaching or coaching roles for a variety of collaboratives.
