Wilkes County will decrease the present lead time for adult health patients receiving a PE (physical exam) from baseline (to be measured) to 60 minutes. We will accomplish this by October 2010. We will do this to improve patient satisfaction, reduce the time a provider has to wait for a patient to be ready for an exam, and to improve clinic staff satisfaction. We will achieve this by using Lean principles and QI tools.
