Center for Public Health Quality to be Fiscally Sponsored by Third Sector

The Center for Public Health Quality (CPHQ) is a resource for quality improvement (QI) among public health organizations.  Developed by a coalition of public health partners, including the NC Association of Local Health Directors, NC Division of Public Health, NC Institute of Public Health, NC Hospital Association, NC Area Health Education Centers and the NC Public Health Foundation, CPHQ was established in 2009 through the generous support of The Duke Endowment, BlueCross BlueShield of North Carolina Foundation and The Kate B. Reynolds Charitable Trust.

CPHQ has been a program of the North Carolina Public Health Foundation (NCPHF) since its inception.  Drawing from NCPHF’s experience in developing nonprofit programs as well as the dedicated work of NCPHF’s Board of Directors, CPHQ has grown into a highly-valued local and national resource for QI capacity building.

Today, CPHQ works with a variety of public health partners within North Carolina and across the nation.  In order to continue and expand CPHQ’s vision that all public health organizations have an embedded culture of continuous quality improvement to help achieve the highest possible level of health for all, CPHQ is excited to announce its launch as an independent program operating under the auspices of Third Sector New England (TSNE), effective January 1, 2015.

TSNE is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit corporation, organized to build knowledge, skills and capacity in the nonprofit sector.  TSNE is a resource center for nonprofit organizations and foundations and has been providing fiscal sponsorship services since 1959.
